Eco4 Scheme
The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) is a government energy efficiency scheme in Great Britain to tackle fuel poverty and help reduce carbon emissions.
What is the ECO4 scheme?

Reduced Carbon Emissions
The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) is a government energy efficiency scheme in Great Britain to tackle fuel poverty and help reduce carbon emissions.

Home Insulation
ECO4 provides for a holistic whole house approach, meaning that before any upgrades to a heating system or before any Solar PV is installed your home will be insulated to the latest standards.

Extra Support for Households
Combined with the Warm Homes Discount scheme the government will provide at least £4.7 billion of extra support to low-income and vulnerable households between 2022 and 2026.

Can I benefit from ECO?
In order to benefit from ECO you must own your own home or have the permission of your landlord, including if your property is owned by a social housing provider or management company.
ECO funding is used to repair or replace existing heating systems/ insulation measures. In some cases renewable measures such as solar pv can be funded through the scheme.
You can benefit from ECO regardless of who you purchase your energy from. You don’t need to buy energy from an obligated supplier in order to benefit.
Choosing Indigo comes with numerous advantages

What happens once I qualify for ECO Funding?
It only takes moments to find out if you or your property qualifies for our ECO funding. You could qualify for enough to fund the entire installation but in some cases, you may need to make a contribution to the costs. Once we have determined this, the grant application, survey, installation, and aftercare will all be taken care of by us, so you have a single point of reference for anything related to your installation rather than having to deal with multiple third parties.
What if I don’t qualify for ECO Funding through the Benefits Route?
If no one within the household is in receipt of any benefits, then this does not mean you have to miss out entirely, since First Time Central Heating Wales can still offer a funding route under the local authority ECO Flexibility scheme. This scheme is based on the health & and wellbeing of the occupants of the household and the energy efficiency of the property.
Households who are living on a low income and are considered vulnerable to the effects of living in a cold home, could therefore be eligible for assistance under the Affordable Warmth Scheme. Each local authority has its own criteria for eligibility.
